New Aldi store to open in Poulton returning retail jobs to the area
A new Aldi store will open in Autumn 2016, in Poulton.
It is hoped that move will return some lost retail jobs to the area.
The site is presently occupied by Booths and the move would be part of the £20m regeneration of the Teanlowe centre in the town.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “Aldi are looking to open a store off Ball Street, the site of which is presently occupied by Booths.
“We are currently in the process of speaking with the council planners and will be running plans past immediate local residents before submission in July for comment.
“The Booths relocation will allow for a brand new Aldi store, hopefully to be opened in Autumn 2016.
“Aldi is looking forward to bringing choice and value to the shoppers of Poulton.”
