FedEx Express begins series of meetings with MPs
FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, has begun a series of meetings with MPs around the country to discuss issues affecting the regions. The first meeting took place between Craig Tracey, Member of Parliament for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, to discuss opportunities for jobs and possibilities of business growth in the region. The meeting, which took place at the company’s TNT premises in Atherstone, was hosted by Louise Whitehouse, Managing Director of Ground Operations for FedEx Express.
FedEx highly appreciated the opportunity to show Craig around our Atherstone location where we employ 1,300 people in functions such as customer service, IT and our hub, which is a pivotal part of our UK operations. We were proud to explain the growth path we are on, discuss the skills shortage in the industry and the challenge of attracting new talent as well as how FedEx can play a role to encourage more women to consider a career in the transportation and logistics industry.
