Tech firm secures funding to 'fuel' growth plans
A technology firm is set to accelerate its growth after securing £900,000 investment to expand its estate agency software platform.
Greenhouse OS has raised £600,000 from Finance Yorkshire’s Growth Fund, alongside a further £300,000 from a group of private angel investors.
Based at York Science Park, the company plans to use the funding to attract more multi-office estate agency clients while developing its operating system.
Built on the Salesforce platform, Greenhouse OS’ technology incorporates artificial intelligence tools aimed at automating property-specific processes.
Founded by Alex Rhodes and Ian Preston, the company employs almost 20 people, including a team of ten engineers.
Alex said: “This investment from Finance Yorkshire is the fuel that allows us to maintain the pace of innovation required in a competitive market.
“We aren’t just giving agents another tool; we’re giving them a true operating system that allows them to scale and evolve indefinitely without ever hitting a technology ceiling.
“The capital is directly accelerating our roadmap, from expanding our engineering team to deploying sophisticated artificial intelligence automation that handles the heavy lifting, such as 24/7 viewing bookings.
“It ensures our clients stay ahead of the curve while they focus on what they do best, building relationships and closing deals.”
The funding comes as Finance Yorkshire prepares to make further investments following a review of its performance over the past three years.
During that period, the organisation says it has supported 70 SMEs, helping to create and safeguard more than 780 jobs while attracting £30 million of private sector investment.
Alex McWhirter, chief executive of Finance Yorkshire, added: “Greenhouse’s platform is now commercially deployed with multiple estate agencies committed to long-term contracts.
“Finance Yorkshire is pleased to support the Greenhouse team in its next growth phase as it embraces the potential of artificial intelligence to evolve its platform and develop further applications.”
