Creative agency expands with Manchester office
A creative media agency is expanding beyond its Glasgow base with the opening of a new Manchester office and by making two senior appointments.
ALT has launched the operation at No.1 St Michael’s in Manchester city centre as it looks to build its presence in the city’s growing media sector.
Founded by husband-and-wife duo David and Laura Haggerty in 2019, the agency has grown to 25 full-time employees and works with global clients including UEFA and Whyte & Mackay.
The expansion follows the introduction of a new leadership team in May, with David and Laura heading up the Manchester office alongside ALT’s wider board.
David said: “With ALT going from strength to strength in Glasgow, expanding to Manchester just made sense.
“Like Glasgow, it is an inspiring city of creativity and culture and has become a thriving media hub, with the likes of SKY and Channel 4 setting up bases there, as well as an exciting roster of UK brands and a dynamic agency scene.”
Day-to-day operations will be led by newly appointed business director Martin Roberts, who brings experience from Dentsu, Mediaworx and advertising technology businesses SoSquared and Adform.
He will be supported by new strategy and planning director Shivani Kulshrestha, who joins from Green Park.
Shivani has more than a decade of experience developing digital and integrated strategies for brands including adidas, Meta, Spotify, Audi, Starbucks, Glenmorangie and Tesco Mobile across the UK, Europe and Middle East.
ALT’s Glasgow team will initially support planning and campaign delivery from the new Manchester base, with a further recruitment drive expected to begin shortly.
The agency’s new neighbours at No.1 St Michael’s include Channel 4 and audience design business Skyrise.
David added: “Laura and I have both worked in Manchester in the past, so it felt like a natural next step to bring our Attention Design vision back here after refining and proving the approach up North.
“As media continues to fracture and new possibilities emerge, it’s more important than ever to put audience-first creative insights at the heart of campaigns.
“Having already led global projects from our Glasgow headquarters, a Manchester expansion provides a vital bridge to the region's exceptional media and creative community.”
