Diony opens new office amid ‘record growth’

A Yorkshire marketing agency is expanding its regional footprint with a new office and recruitment drive following a series of client wins.

Hull-founded performance marketing agency Diony has opened a base at the Department complex in Leeds as it looks to accelerate its growth across the region.

Managing director Alistair O’Sullivan founded the agency in 2016, initially establishing offices in Hull’s Old Town before moving to WORX, a former newspaper print centre, in 2022.

Alistair says the move is designed to strengthen support for existing clients, attract new business and give the agency access to a wider pool of talent.

He adds that Diony is also recruiting for five roles as it expands its team across Leeds and Hull.

Alistair said: “The last 12 months have been a huge chapter for Diony.

“We’ve achieved record growth, with our biggest national and international wins, and we’ve also got a much stronger team.

“This has come on the back of our management buy-out restoring our founding ownership at the beginning of 2026, and the major investment will continue.

“We will ensure we are ready for where our industry is heading and we have our value in the right place as search, discovery and consumer behaviours change.

“The calibre of the people we’re now working with, alongside the calibre of the brands we’re working with, means we’re creating something pretty special.

“The Leeds office is another step in that journey, giving our team access to a bigger creative community while allowing us to keep our roots firmly in Hull.”

Diony’s latest expansion follows a number of senior appointments, including the arrival of operations director Laura Hustwit earlier this year.

Laura joined from performance marketing agency Journey Further and is working alongside Alistair to drive Diony’s next phase of growth.

She is also leading work to develop the agency’s partnership approach as the business looks to build on recent client wins and strengthen its service offering.

Laura added: “Expanding to Leeds is a real opportunity for us to put Diony at the heart of one of the UK’s strongest creative and digital communities.

“We’re proud of our roots in Hull, but we also want to rise to the challenge of surrounding ourselves with some of the biggest and best agencies in the industry.

“It gives our team access to new connections, new talent and a really exciting space where we can innovate and grow.

“For me, it’s about creating an environment where our people can develop, where we can attract exceptional talent from across the region and where our clients benefit from the depth of expertise and connections we’re building around them.”

Alistair added: “We’ve already brought in three key senior team members so far this year, increasing our team to 23, and we’ll soon be taking on another five across paid social, SEO, strategy, digital PR and technical. They will have the opportunity to work in our offices in Hull and Leeds.

“We’re being very deliberate about the people we bring into Diony.

“We’re not simply looking to grow the headcount – we’re building a team of people with genuine expertise, experience and ambition who can add something to our clients and to each other.

“We want Diony to be an agency that people across the region know, want to work for and want to work with – and this expansion is a big part of making that happen.”
