Mediazoo appoints non-executive director

Communications and creative learning agency Mediazoo Group has appointed Susan Steele as non-executive director as it targets further international growth.

Susan brings extensive experience of scaling private equity and venture capital-backed technology and professional services businesses, alongside senior roles at IBM, Deloitte, WPP and Linklaters.

She currently serves as chair of learning infrastructure platform Filtered and as a non-executive director of Mindbeat, and has previously been involved in successful investor exits at Ocean Technologies Group and Cision.

In her new role, Susan will support Mediazoo’s next phase of development, with a particular focus on expanding its presence in overseas markets, including the US.

She said: “I’m excited to be joining Mediazoo Group.

“The offer feels genuinely unique, and it fits this moment well, as more organisations look for real capability, not just more tools, to help them perform in a world of AI and uncertainty.

“I’m looking forward to helping the team share that offer with more organisations, particularly in the US.”

Susan’s arrival adds further commercial and international growth experience to the board as the business looks to build its global reach.

London-based Mediazoo specialises in communications and creative learning focused on improving workplace performance and is backed by growth equity investor BGF.

Giles Smith, chief executive of Mediazoo Group, added: “Mediazoo offers a single, integrated proposition, bringing together behavioural science, creativity and AI to drive measurable performance.

“Susan has a proven track record of helping high-growth, investor-backed businesses scale in the UK and internationally, and her experience will be instrumental as we expand our reach in the US and beyond.”

Andy McRae, chairman of Mediazoo Group, added: “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Susan to the Mediazoo Group board.

“She has sat on both sides of the table, as an operator and as a board member guiding PE and VC-backed businesses through growth and exit, and that experience gives us real confidence as we scale Mediazoo Group into a business that helps organisations perform at their best.”
