Construction firm promotes trio amid growth

A Yorkshire construction firm has bolstered its leadership team with three senior promotions as it looks to build on an £80 million order book.

Shipley-based Stainforth Construction has appointed Ben Whitlock, Dan Hayden and Joe Greenwood as partners, with the trio bringing a combined 65 years of construction industry experience.

Together, they have spent 51 years with Stainforth, with the promotions forming part of a succession strategy aimed at developing its next generation of leaders while retaining experience within the business.

The new partners bring expertise across commercial management, pre-construction, business development and technical delivery.

They will continue to develop client relationships, identify new opportunities and support delivery of the company’s growing pipeline of projects across the UK.

As part of the leadership changes, managing partner Danny Wilson will become chairman, providing continuity as the company enters its next stage of development.

Founded in Yorkshire in 1991, Stainforth has grown into a design and build construction business working across commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, residential, education and healthcare projects.

Its work ranges from contracts worth around £300,000 to projects valued at more than £15 million, spanning design and build, fit-out, civil engineering, demolition and ground remediation.

The firm was also recently named Best Contractor at the Yorkshire Children’s Charity Commercial Real Estate Awards.
