Jackson Lees expands clinical negligence team
Liverpool and Wirral law firm Jackson Lees Group has strengthened its clinical negligence team with the appointment of partner Paul Harrison and paralegals Helen Innes and Sorcha McMullan.
Paul joins from Fletchers Solicitors, where he was a partner and team leader, bringing more than ten years’ experience specialising in clinical negligence.
He trained and qualified at Scott Rees & Co, which was acquired by Fletchers last year, and previously worked alongside Jeanette Aspinall, who now heads Jackson Lees’ clinical negligence team.
Paul said: “I am thrilled to join Jackson Lees and to be working alongside Jeanette once again.
“The firm’s commitment to providing empathetic, top-tier legal support aligns perfectly with my own approach to clinical negligence, and I’m looking forward to drawing on my experience to support the team, help grow the department and achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
Helen joins from Hill Dickinson, while Sorcha moves from fellow Jackson Lees Group firm Broudie Jackson Canter, where she worked on major inquests and inquiries, including the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.
Their appointments strengthen Jackson Lees’ 30-strong clinical negligence team, which operates across Liverpool and Wirral.
The department handles a range of claims, including catastrophic brain and spinal injuries, serious birth injuries, surgical negligence and delayed diagnoses.
Jackson Lees Group also includes Broudie Jackson Canter and Farrington Law, and forms part of MAPD Group, which supports the growth of regional law firms through acquisition.
Jeanette Aspinall, head of the clinical negligence team at Jackson Lees, added: “Having worked with Paul previously, I know the expertise, commitment and leadership he will bring to our department.
“This is an exciting appointment for the firm, and we look forward to the positive impact he will make for our clients and colleagues.
“Expanding our clinical negligence team with these three appointments demonstrates our commitment to growth and providing excellent service.
“We are continually investing in attracting outstanding talent to ensure we deliver the highest standard of support and representation for our clients, and recruitment at all levels is ongoing.”
