Offshore and maritime training hub for North East
A specialist offshore and maritime training centre is set for the North East, dedicated to the rapidly expanding wind industry.
Offshore training firm, Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS) has joined forces with global giant Maersk Training to create the centre, that will complement the existing offshore training facilities on offer at the AIS centre in North Shields.
Paul Stonebanks, managing director at AIS, said: “We are really excited about this new link up. Our training expertise dovetails perfectly with that of Maersk Training, meaning that together we can offer complete training packages to the offshore, maritime and renewable energy sectors.
“Maersk Training is the principle training provider for some of the biggest companies in the world, with training centres globally, so we’re flattered that they’ve chosen the AIS North Shields facility for their new site.
“This shows the high level of confidence Maersk Training has in both AIS and the wider North East region. We are now anticipating high level demand for the wealth of specialist courses that we can offer.”
