Money saving tips from Deal Jungle

Cut Printing Costs

For most firms the ability to print is a necessity but ink can be a large expense to your business.
Review different ways to save, whether it is buying in bulk or using recycled printer cartridges.
Sharing is caring so why not get your employees to share a printer, or, if possible share one with
other firms in the building?

As with all office suppliers try and buy in bulk, it might seem a big cost up front but the economics of
scale you can benefit from are massive. Also remember this is an extremely competitive market and
often a vendor will match a competitor’s price to complete the sale, providing you with additional
savings.

Offer Internships

The time might have come to add to your team of employees but if the costs are putting you off
them why not offer an internship or work-experience position? Having a hungry young employee
who is keen to learn and impress could be just what your business needs what’s more you might be
able to give them their first career break in the process.

Clean Up Your Mailing List

If you choose to target potential customers with posted mail then make sure you’re targeting is
up to date. Clean up your mailing list by removing changed addresses, inactive customers, and
undeliverable mail. Every letter that doesn’t get sent back or thrown away is money you have saved.

Better still, why not go digital and conduct all your communications online through a regular
newsletter? Again it’s important to keep your contact list up to date but there are less cost
implications of not doing so.

Join Trade Associations

It’s important to make the most of the people around you and helping other along the way is a great
bonus of being in business.

Why not get involved with other local businesses by joining a local trade association. As well as
meeting other like minder people you may be able to exploit joint activities such as advertising
campaigns learn the latest industry-specific news or discover new sales opportunities.

Building business relationships is essential for any firm, particularly when you’re trying to get things
of the ground, so the more people you can meet and work with / learn from, the better.
