Algae could save the world!!!!!
One of the most amazing things that I discovered during my residency at Newcastlel University was the research that has been carried out. One of the research areas that has been explored by Dr Gary Caldwell within the School of Biology is the use of algae as a bio-fuel. Dr Gordon Beakes is a Reader in Dev. Mycology and regularly collects algae throughout the North East. I have been lucky enough to photograph some of the algae that Dr Beakes has collected.
