Birmingham-based law firm announces £118.2m turnover
Law firm Wragge & Co has seen its turnover increase by five percent to £118.2 million for the financial year to 30 April 2012.
Practice areas which have aided this increase include commercial litigation, pensions, commercial, IT and outsourcing.
Wragge & Co, an international law firm whose headquarters are in the UK, made a number of investments over the last year and added eight new high-profile partners. As well as an increase in turnover, the firm also saw its sector focus pay dividends with growth coming in real estate, planning and regeneration and energy.
Managing partner Ian Metcalfe said: “Economic headwinds, particularly in the UK and Europe, made life difficult for many businesses. Against this uncertain backdrop we are pleased to have maintained our market share, grown our business and posted a solid set of results.”
Over the next twelve months, Wragge & Co will be looking to continue investing, building up their brand and reputation.
As of 1 May 2012, Wragge & Co had 125 partners across seven offices including Birmingham, London and Munich. Last September, the firm reinforced the importance of Gulf region to their international focus when they added a Dubai office to their existing office in Abu Dhabi.
