Global webinar to examine Olympic business opportunities
Are the Olympics going to be as inspiring for business leaders as it is for audiences watching and the athletes competing?
A new global webinar is set to address this question, and explore where the opportunities for business will lie.
‘The Game: opportunities for business’ will be hosted by The Economist on July 11, and will encompass conference feeds from Beijing, London and Rio.
The webinar makes no assumptions that the Olympics will have a positive impact on society, consumers, the economy or business, but aims to highlight opportunities that are available to companies who are creative enough to find them.
For businesses, it aims to dig into the hard-to-measure, indirect, long-term and even intangible effects of the Olympics.
Audiences will be able to contribute to the conversation through Twitter, and will be able to pose questions to panelists.
The key questions framing the webinar are: how can companies gain from the positive feeling created by the games? What are the economic benefits? How can companies gain from inspirational trends as a result of the games?
