Robinsons Fruit Shoot recall could cost £25m
Drinks manufacturer Britvic indicated that the delay of designing a new cap for recently recalled Fruit Shoot drinks could cost up to £25m.
Because of a packaging safety issue, Britvic announced the recall of Fruit Shoot and Fruit Shoot Hydro drinks, but not Fruit Shoot My-5.
The company said that the demand for a new cap could not be met in full until the end of this year.
“We believe this will now have an impact on the group profit before tax in the region of £15m to £25m across the current and next financial year,” Britvic said.
