Nottingham DNA sequencing specialists say results are encouraging
Nottingham-based Source BioScience, have reported a revenue increase of 11%, thanks to developments in their LifeSciences business.
The firm, who specialise in genetic analysis and diagnostics for the research and healthcare markets, have seen profits fall by £0.2m on last year, but say first half results are encouraging.
DNA sequencing has grown 60% year-on-year for the company, driven by their overnight service.
Laurie Turnbull, Chairman of Source BioScience, said: “We have seen another period of strategic progress, double digit revenue growth and significantly enhanced profitability compared with the first half of last year.
“This progress has been underpinned by significant headway in LifeSciences’ Overnight Service for DNA sequencing and Healthcare’s cervical cancer screening business. We have also introduced additional technology platforms and accessed new markets; increasing the capability and geographic reach of the Group.
