CBRE Delivers Sustainable Office Re-fit
Acting on behalf of Mountcity Group, Trianco and BBraun Medical the CBRE Building Consultancy team in Leeds has project managed the sub division, fit-out and refurbishment of Unit 7 on Thorncliffe Park in Sheffield.
Acting as Project Designers, Managers and CDM Co-ordinators, the £720,000 project involved subdividing an industrial unit and creating new office space for Trianco to provide them with a more interactive and client friendly environment. The works involved showcasing Trainco’s sustainable heating systems within the refurbishment project and using equipment supplied by Trianco the offices are now heated from a combined system of air source heat pumps, bio mass boiler, evacuated tube solar panels and ‘Aztec’ electric top up boilers linked to a multi coil hot water cylinder. CBRE also managed the fit-out and refurbishment of the space taken by B-Braun Medical.
Senior Surveyor in CBRE Leeds’ Building Consultancy team, Steven Taylor, said; “This was a particularly interesting and involved instruction for the team due to the sustainable energy aspects of the works which included a working display of the systems in their new office facility. Furthermore we worked to tight timescales and also in a confined site due for Trianco’s need to maintain their manufacturing output during the works.”
