Netcall confirms £2.9 acquisition of software solutions firm
Technology firm Netcall has acquired public sector software provider, Serengeti Systems, for a top consideration of £2.9m.
The Suffolk-based company purchased by Netcall supplies “Enterprise Content Management” (ECM) to organisations including local authorities, universities and housing associations.
Netcall is a software solutions company which offers services to public and private sector firms to improve customer services and productivity.
The business expects the transaction with Serengeti to boost its earnings in the current financial year by taking advantage of clients such as the University of Cambridge and the Forestry Commision.
Serengeti’s ECM tool streamlines and organises paper and electronic documents to reduce costs and improve customer service, and will be integrated into Netcall’s business.
Serengeti’s 40 strong client base will enhance sales and marketing platforms, and allow the Netcall to cross-sell existing products with additional tools gained from the deal.
An initial cash payment of £2m will be exchanged, and a further £0.9m will be paid on the condition that Serengeti meets performance targets for this year and 2013.
Henrik Bang, chief executive of Netcall, commented:“This earnings-enhancing acquisition is an important part of our growth strategy.
“Serengeti expands our product portfolio and increases the opportunity to drive further cross-selling across the Group’s 700 strong customer base.
“The combination of Serengeti’s ECM solutions together with our BPM and intelligent contact handling portfolio provides a compelling value proposition for our customers.
