Auto-enrolment: will it suffice?
The unions have argued it’s a step towards stemming the decline of private sector pensions, while detractors have said the amounts are inconsequential. Nevertheless, this week saw the early beginnings of auto-enrolment.
As the bigger employers make the first foray into the new pensions scheme, many SMEs will still have five or six years to contemplate its coming.
