Mr Bond comes to Lunch

‘The Lunch Club’ will this month play host to internationally renowned interior designer, George Bond.

Held at Marco Pierre White’s new restaurant in Newcastle, ‘The Lunch Club’ raises funds for ‘Josie’s Dragonfly Trust’ – a national charity based in the North East which supports children and young people living with cancer.

As well as a two course lunch and complimentary glass of wine, each ‘Lunch Club’ features a different guest speaker offering advice, and often entertaining anecdotes, on a range of subject matters - this month being no exception.October’s guest speaker, George Bond, appeared alongside Carol Vorderman as lead designer in the hit TV series ‘Better Homes’ and went on to appear as a guest expert in numerous other style shows, such as the BBC’s ‘Put your money where your mouth is’. With over 25 years experience with his own interior design company, Bond will be a fruitful addition to the bimonthly fundraising event, also promising to share some secret budget design tips for the home.

‘Josie’s Dragonfly Trust’ distribute Arts & Crafts boxes to Children’s Hospitals across the UK and organise ‘Dragonfly Dreams’ for children aged up to thirteen living with incurable cancer; these are fun trips and days out for the patients and their families to create special memories.

Alongside, Cash Gifts of £500 are given out to young people aged thirteen to twenty in the same situation; the money is for the patient to spend on anything the like.

Tickets for ‘The Lunch Club’ are priced at £25.00 and can be purchased by ringing Josie’s Dragonfly Head Office on 01434 602043 or by emailing sarah@josiesdragonfly.org.
