Guerilla appointed by Sunderland City Council

Guerilla has been appointed by Sunderland City Council to supply the front-end design for its Internet and Intranet sites, both being built from scratch.

Sam Meredith, Internal Communications Manager, Sunderland City Council said, “We wanted to develop a website that would it make it easier and more convenient for residents to access a wide range of council services online with advanced features to help employees to do their jobs. We were very impressed by Guerilla and their track record and felt they were the agency best suited to achieve this. We want a website that the people of Sunderland can be proud of.”

Jason Longworth, Digital Account Director, Guerilla, said, “Sunderland is renowned for its digital reputation being home to Sunderland Software City. It also has the highest social network usage in the UK and is looking to implement broadband coverage across the city. We were delighted when we met with Sunderland Council to discuss their vision for the council and how ambitious they are with what they want from a website. Part of their brief was that they want to stretch people’s imaginations and we’re really looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Guerilla has been expanding its digital department over the last few years and this project should prove to be a rewarding challenge for the digital team.
