Exclusive boutique opens in Newcastle

A Newcastle-based entrepreneur has opened a new boutique in the city after realising a gap in the market for a fashion range for ladies who want to stand out with a unique look.

Love Niche, based in Newcastle’s city centre, is the creation of 31-year-old Nisha Vedhara and features her own designs.

The Indian-born businesswoman studied at the London College of Fashion – following in the footsteps of a stream of high-profile designers including Jimmy Choo.

Nisha is launching Love Niche after noting a demand from women for a boutique that focuses on decadent evening wear that is unique to them and gives them their own personal style.

Nisha, who started out in the fashion industry more than six years ago as a personal shopper, said: “I have grown up around fashion and it’s always been something that is important to me. Growing up in Delhi, my mum was, and still is, a fashion designer and her passion has certainly rubbed off on me.

“My father is also my biggest inspiration and the reason I want to be my own boss. He started his own business from scratch in India and has built it up to be hugely successful.

“I am launching Love Niche because I know, from my experiences as a personal shopper, that many women want to achieve their own distinctive style with fashion that’s on trend yet unique. My boutique is a romantic, elegant and sophisticated collection of one-of-a-kind evening dresses and limited edition items which I’m confident will be well received.”

Nisha, who has lived in Newcastle since moving to the UK seven years ago when she married Arjun, is also mum to two-year-old Saiveer and has a successful pop-up business in Delhi with more than 400 clients.

Love Niche is based on Clayton Street in Newcastle city centre and Nisha is offering styling appointments for individuals and small groups of friends.

Nisha added: “My focus is on uniqueness and individuality. I want my customers to feel like Love Niche gives them their own style, flattering to them and remaining at the cutting edge of style.

“We also offer a bespoke service of made to order styles which bear in mind our clients body shape and personal taste.”

The Love Niche boutique also features a high-street collection of hand-picked items from around Europe including on-trend hand embroidered blazers and beaded scarves. Nisha has also identified a collection of bold luxurious statement jewellery pieces to create an edginess to any garment.
