Top retailers’ websites under scrutiny
ASOS and Waterstones are among some of the UK’s slowest retail websites, according to the latest Retail 500 index from Sitemorse.
Sitemorse test retailers’ sites for usability, quality and accessibility among other criteria, and then ranks them accordingly.
The top spot belonged to evening wear retailer Anoushka London, which knocked furniture company DFS off the top spot thanks to strong performance in functionality.
Some of the worst performing sites included HMV, Waterstones and lifestyle brand Muji.
Many notable retailers appeared to languish down the tables, including the likes of John Lewis, wine shop Laithwaites and Next.
