Preforma wins big contract with B&M Steel

Preforma is winning over the market place with its Formarail® railing system and has added yet another big name to its list of distributors.

Preforma has landed a distribution contract with Barclay & Mathieson (B&M Steel). B&M Steel is part of the Stemcor Group and has over 130 years’ experience as steel stockholders and fabricators in the UK, with 14 locations around the country, from Inverness down to Winchester and Scunthorpe across to Bangor.

Formarail® is still a relatively new name in the railings market but this SME isn’t letting its size stand in the way of its big ambitions.

In times of economic turbulence, introducing a new concept can be challenging, but Preforma is leading the way in innovation in the railings market and is being both recognised and rewarded for its efforts.

Martin Smith, Group Special Products Manager for Stemcor said: “With construction industry leaders predicting a slow growth to the year, we needed to look at new products that will offer customers a way to reduce project costs without cutting standards. We see Formarail® as the ideal solution to this. It can cut installation in half through its rotating ball - this is something we’ve never seen used before in this way.”

Formarail® is proven to be up to 50% quick to install than other modular railing systems as it was specifically designed to fit together with ease, providing a smooth contoured finish superior to that of its competitors.

Unlike traditional modular railing systems, the Formarail® posts are supplied ready assembled. Therefore there are significantly less parts to assemble on site, generating savings on time and labour costs.
