UK?s largest free event for in-car technology

The UK’s largest free event for in-car technology is heading back to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for the fifth successive year.

Mobile Electronics News Expo 2013 is gearing up for action in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6.

Over 50 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest products in car audio, multi-media, security and satellite navigation systems while a conference focusing on digital radio will also be held.

Sophie Belcher, production and events co-ordinator at Mobile Electronics News Expo, said the focus of the two-day show was on the changing world of in-car technology.

She said: “We will be bringing together the best manufacturers, distributors, retailers and educational seminars all under one roof at the Ricoh Arena.

“There will be demo cars fitted with the latest products so that delegates can see them first hand and receive expert advice.

“Our conference is the most comprehensive that we have organised because education and training is a key focus to improve the knowledge of as many people as possible in the mobile electronics industry.

“Representatives from Digital Radio UK will be among the respected speakers at our conference since this is an area which is expected to grow rapidly in the next few years.

“We will again have over 50 exhibitors which is comparable to last year and this annual event is also a great networking opportunity to meet and get to know major industry figures.

“Our VIP party for exhibitors and dealers will be taking place in Lady Gs inside the G-Casino and the flexibility of the Ricoh Arena is one of the reasons why we keep on returning.

“The venue is professionally run and all our requirements are successfully met.

As a mobile electronics show, we need quite a lot of space for all the displays and having the on-site hotel and casino is another plus point.“

Chris Owen, senior event manager at the Ricoh Arena, said leading companies in the cutting-edge world of in-car technology would be present at the exhibition.

He said: “We are delighted to be working with the organisers of the Mobile Electronics News Expo once again and we hope this will be their best show yet.

“It is a great opportunity for businesses to come along to find out more about the latest products on the market which will be unveiled during the two-day exhibition.”
