Bite Digital acquires Losource Magento team
Bite Digital, a Manchester-based award-winning full service digital marketing agency, has announced further expansion with the acquisition of Losource’s Magento team for an undisclosed sum.
Specialists in the Magento eCommerce platform, the team from Losource will further add to Bite Digital’s existing development team. This brings the headcount up to over 20, following a pervious merger with eAZeMedia.
Headed up by marketing industry and e-commerce veteran Rob Blake, the team at Losource will stay in its offices at Hebden Bridge and build on Bite Digital’s impressive portfolio.
The agency offers its customers a full 360 degree approach to their digital marketing strategy, including content marketing, SEO, PPC, web design, eCommerce, mobile, social media and affiliate marketing.
Commenting on the acquisition, managing director of Bite Digital, Jason Cozens, said: “For the last 15 years, we’ve developed all of our web solutions with our Microsoft.net development team.
“With the growth in popularity and associated benefits of open source software, in particular Magento, it was a strategic decision to bring the skills of our Magento partner -Losource - in-house and focus our capabilities.”
Blake brings with him to Bite Digital a four strong team of developers experienced in Magento community and enterprise editions, as well as complex integration with Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] systems.
Past examples of Losource’s work include creating complex websites for Trutex - the UK’s leading school wear manufacturer - Antler, Gedore and Mudstuff. The Magento developers have also worked under NDAs for London Advertising Agencies producing websites for some of the largest brands in the World.
The newly combined team has just completed a website for Azzy Fahmy, a leading Egyptian jewellery brand favoured by celebrities such as Rhianna.
