Overseas expansion generates NE Jobs at Trend Bible
Newcastle-based trend forecasting agency Trend Bible are expanding due to increased overseas demand for their services, resulting in the appointment of two new members of staff.
Naomi Shedden joins the team as Trend and Material Researcher, contributing to the creative direction of bespoke consultancy work and bi-annual trend publications. Naomi previously worked as styling assistant at Elle Decoration in London. Northumbria University graduate, Ruth Hilton, also joins the team this month following her position as Communications Designer at Mars, London. Ruth will be Project Co-Ordinator at Trend Bible, helping to manage existing and future client projects in the UK and USA.
“It is a genuine pleasure to be able to generate exciting creative jobs in the North East during a recession - ordinarily a very difficult time for growth,” explains Trend Bible founder and director Joanna Feeley. “Our new website and recent rebrand have very quickly begun to generate a new audience for our products and services, and we have acquired new clients in South Africa, Chile, Israel, and The Netherlands in addition to our core business in the USA, UK and Europe. Retailers, brands and manufacturers in emerging markets are developing a need for anticipating what will drive trends in the future, so trend forecasting becomes a very important activity.”
Both employees join Trend Bible after completing internships as undergraduates in their respective degrees.
“I am thrilled to welcome Naomi and Ruth to the team, especially since both completed internships with us when they were under-graduates, so it proves how effective our talent pipeline is,” added Joanna. “Both recruits have built a solid foundation for their careers with globally renowned brands. I welcome them back to the North East and look forward to being able to grow the business with them on board.”
