County Durham business builds on NE investment
A leading North East marketing company which has already this year opened a new office in Gateshead- has announced further growth at its HQ in Newton Aycliffe.
Design 365, which has a reputation spanning almost a decade, has experienced a rapid growth in demand for its online marketing services in the last year and, as a result, opened an office at Gateshead International Business Centre in January.
As well as creating two jobs at this site, adding to its seven-strong team, Design 365 has also taken on another member of staff at its Newton Aycliffe offices, at The Hub on Aycliffe Industrial Park, thanks to securing a number of new contracts since the start of 2013.
Rosie Whelpton has joined Design 365 as business development manager and will be responsible for generating new business, communicating new industry developments to clients, overseeing development of marketing literature, social media management and report and content writing.
Rosie, from Darlington, graduated from Northumbria University with a BA (HONS) in English Language and Literature in July 2012. Before joining Design 365, the 22-year-old completed sales and marketing internships with a variety of businesses in the North East.
Design 365 specialises in web design and development, e-commerce and search engine optimisation for SMEs all over the North of England. The business was established by former navy paramedic, Alan Foster, who has been in the web marketing field for over 15 years working for a range of blue chip companies, hotel groups, spas and other small businesses.
Design 365’s Newton Aycliffe office has recently clinched a number of new contracts including The Business Wear Company in Leeds and national franchises, Simply Bows and Chair Covers and Complete Weed Control.
Speaking about the company’s growth, Alan said: “Thanks to our rapid growth last year and continuing demand for our services since the start of 2013, I felt the time was right to invest in staff that could help to take the business forward. A business development manager is vital if we want to grow and Rosie has the perfect mix of skills for the role. We’re already seeing some exciting results which is great for our plans.”
Rosie added: “I was really pleased to be offered this exciting opportunity at Design 365 as the business is at a crucial stage in its development. It’s quite a major responsibility to have been given the task of driving new business and seeking out new opportunities but I am confident that I’ll make a success of it as we have a great product to sell and a superb team.”
