Diageo pledges to save £60m
British drinks giant Diageo has announced its target to save £60m after a review of its global supply operations.
The business, which makes famous drinks brands such as Baileys, Smirnoff vodka and Guinness, said it hopes to save an approximate total of £100m across three years.
Diageo said it will transfer responsibility for local operations to to 21 key markets, while regional structures will be reduced.
As a result of the changes, the company’s financial results will be announced using its geographical units from June 2013.
Diageo supplies to 180 countries around the world in North America, Europe, Western Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia Pacific.
