North West transport firm expands across Wirral

Transport business Delsol is set to boost its North West presence following a partnership deal with United Pallet Network.

The Caernarfon and Deeside company signed a deal to cover Wirral CH postcodes on behalf of the network, following financial successes and major expansion for the firm.

Delsol was named in the Welsh Fast Growth 50 in 2011 and 2012, with turnover growth up to a record high of approximately £6m last year, up 11% on 2011.

Last year the business also delivered record numbers of postal orders and grew its workforce to over 80 people.

Tony Parry, who is co-director with Simon Walker, said the new service across the Wirral will be “simple and effective”, as well as adding to Delsol’s coverage of North Wales including Chester and Wrexham.

Mr Parry said: “We are delighted to be broadening our reach into the Wirral. This densely populated area has a thriving residential and business community which presents a terrific opportunity.

“The move will also help to reinforce our profile and reputation for better value, greater efficiency and high quality customer service.

“We are looking to develop a strong and long lasting relationship with the UPN mirroring the successful relationships we have built with our other network partners.

“As a sign of our desire and commitment we managed to kickstart the new service within eight hours of being presented with the opportunity. Our mission is to now build a new loyal customer base across the Wirral.

“Delsol has seen significant growth in the last 12 months with increased demand for all services including same day, overnight and international delivery and storage. We focus on delivering affordability and high quality customer service.”
