Grade A rating boosts York business park
The decision by the City of York Council to award a Grade A rating to Clifton Park Business Park has been described has “a resounding endorsement of a great business location” by a leading Yorkshire property consultant.
Andrew McBeath, the managing director of York-based McBeath Property Consultancy, said the Grade A rating was “richly deserved” and underlined the quality of the park.
He was responding to the City of York Council’s draft assessment of the total office stock within the council’s area, which will shortly be available as a public document.
As part of this process, the council has individually graded all office premises and is now seeking views from the local property industry on this data.
Mr McBeath explained: “York has just been named the second most talented in the UK in a Santander survey and is proving increasingly popular for firms wanting to relocate. Clifton Park Business Park is one of the jewels in York’s office crown and has attracted some first-class businesses and household names since it first opened.”
“This Grade A rating is a telling reminder of its quality and will put it well and truly on the map. It is a ringing endorsement of a great business location, which combines superb offices with competitive rents.
“We have always known about the quality of Clifton Park, but this richly-deserved accolade from the council confirms its place at the very top of the York office tree.”
The asking rent at Clifton Park is £11.95 per sq ft, with available office suites ranging from 1,200 sq ft to 18,000 sq ft. The park is close to the York Outer Ring Road, with easy access to the A1(M) and the A59, but only two miles from York city centre.
