Odyssey Systems best for service in North East

Telecommunications firm Odyssey Systems was recognised for the exceptional quality of its customer care after scooping the Service Award in North East Business Awards final.

Tees Valley-based Odyssey triumphed over extremely strong competition to win the accolade at the culmination of the annual awards, organised by The Journal and the Evening Gazette on Teesside, in association with the North East Chamber of Commerce.

Judges named Odyssey the winner after the firm impressed the panel with its dedication to customer service, which means the firm’s clients have access to round-the-clock support to experienced and knowledgeable advisors for all telecommunications services, with customers able to speak directly to one of the company’s directors at all times.

The firm were named regional winners for the first time last, after winning the Teesside final of the awards for the second year in a row.

Held at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, the annual awards night was hosted by television presenter Kim Inglis. More than 500 guests from across the region’s business community attended to learn the winners in 11 categories and were entertained by guest speaker, veteran BBC journalist John Sergeant.

The firm, which was founded 26 years ago by Managing Director Mike Odysseas, has experienced modest growth over the past year, which has enabled them to take on three new members of staff.

Mike said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award. It is undoubtedly down to the unrelenting hard work and outstanding dedication from our staff, and this achievement really would not have been possible without them. Our team consistently go the extra mile to ensure our customers receive the very best care and service, and we are absolutely ecstatic that this has been recognised.

“We’d also like to thank all of our customers for their support throughout the past 26 years. Our skilled and committed staff will continue to offer them second-to-none service and care for many more years to come.”
