The week’s North West appointments
Last week saw a number of moves and appointments in the North West. Here, Bdaily gives a roundup of some of the significant manoeuvres.
Manchester-based brand agency WRG Brand has appointed Jessy Gill as its new business manager to raise awareness around the work carried out by the firm.
Ms Gill has formerly worked as an account director for an Apple and Adobe training centre, where she worked on the switch over to High Definition with production company, Lime Pictures.
Nanotechnology firm Nanaco also announced this week that its chief executive Michael Edelman would be moving to run one leg of the company from Boston in the U.S.
The company will stay at its base in Manchester but also aims to grow its investor and customer base in the U.S.
Altrincham-based affordable housing development business, Lovell, has appointed former housing development manager for Derby City Council, Leigh-Anne Francis.
Ms Francis will be responsible for Lovell’s business development strategy in the East of England.
North West law firm SAS Daniels LLP revealed three new partners alongside continued growth in 2013.
Bik-ki Irving, Nicola McInnes and Karen Barker were appointed as partners at three of its offices, which the law firm said reflected its expanding client base.
The University of Manchester also announced last week that a world-leading academic has been hired to further their research on graphene, the world’s thinnest and strongest conductive metal.
Prof. Kostas Kostarelos will bring a team of 15 scientists with him, who will work to draw graphene and medicine closer together through the university and its partner hospitals.
