NFU Mutual selects The Logic Group for PCI
The Logic Group has announced that the UK’s leading rural insurer, NFU Mutual, has implemented its Managed Payment Service, delivering improved security to its payments infrastructure and data insight capabilities.
The Logic Group’s Managed Payment Service provides PCI DSS scope reduction for all sales channels with a single centralised core reporting and configuration portal. The service instantly encrypts customer card data when it is entered into the PIN Entry Device at the point of sale, and removes all card data from voice recordings using The Logic Group’s Semafone enabled hosted payment page.
This makes the data unreadable during its transmission to The Logic Group’s secure PCI DSS compliant data centre for processing, eliminating the risk of fraud. Once received, the details are tokenised in the client’s preferred format and returned for safe storage. The service also enables clients to maintain the validity of their tokenised card details using the Account Updater Service to ensure low collection refusal rates while attempting to collect monthly and annual policy renewals.
Gary Cheetham Chief Information Security Officer, at NFU Mutual comments, “Following a comprehensive market evaluation, we decided to build on our already 10-year strong relationship with The Logic Group. The platform offered the greatest level of PCI DSS scope reduction for our business, which significantly simplified our initial and on-going compliance with the PCI DSS standard. This ultimately provides the highest level of data security for our customers’ card data across our card payment services. “
“We worked with The Logic Group’s technical consultants and QSA to design a payment architecture that was right for our businesses. They were able to create a tailored solution for our business requirements, saving us both time and money.”
Mark Kusionowicz, Marketing Director at The Logic Group said: “We are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s largest insurance companies. Not only do these solutions drastically reduce the scope of PCI DSS compliance for our clients, but they also provide a multichannel view of customer payments for better decision making.”
