A new name built on decades’ of trust
A world leader in safety training for the offshore and maritime sector is changing its name to reflect its diversifying role.
Falck Safety Services was formerly known as Falck Nutec. The name change underlines a renewed focus on safety training as one of the four core business divisions of the Falck Group worldwide.
Allison Walker, Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “The Falck name is trusted worldwide. We wished to ensure that our reputation and our offer were clearly captured in the business name.”
Ms Walker said the name change was part of a business strategy to ensure clients from “Azerbaijan to Vietnam” have access to the company’s services.
“The global market for safety training continues to grow rapidly, and as the world leader in this market, we took the decision to re-focus our business more clearly in this specialist area of activity.”
Falck’s name has been synonymous with safety and rescue training in Denmark and beyond for over a hundred years. After acquiring the Nutec Group in 2004, Falck Nutec rapidly developed an unrivalled portfolio of professional safety training courses delivered from over 28 training centres worldwide.
Falck Safety Services, which delivers safety training to over 240,000 people every year, would now embark on a new programme of investment and acquisition to meet the safety training needs of international clients working in increasingly hostile and difficult working environments.
Ms Walker added: “It is an exciting time for our safety training business, and we are looking forward to building on the dramatic growth and success of the business over the past eight years.
“This re-branding opens a new chapter in Falck’s enduring commitment to delivering safety and rescue services that people know they can trust.”
