Creative agency joins forces with growing bike brand
A Middlesbrough creative agency has been appointed to work with a leading bike manufacturer on new state-of-the-art designs.
Calm Digital has been re-appointed to design for carbon fibre bike brand Azione following their previous success for the firm in 2012.
Azione, who launched in spring 2012, and Calm Digital joined forces to design road-bike Questo, and take it to market.
The creative agency has now been selected to design the frame artwork for two new models, Falce, a time-trial bike, and Chiaro, an aero frame bike.
Calm Digital, based in Boho One, Middlesbrough, will also create a new innovative website, the e-commerce site includes a bike building facility to enable cyclists to customise their own bike to their individual specification.
Bianca Robinson, managing director of Calm Digital, said: ?We are delighted that we have been pivotal in the support of Azione on the next stage of its growth in the market and the development of its brand and highly specialised new models.
?Azione has enjoyed great success to become established only one year since launching thanks to the cycling boom, beautifully design and crafted bikes, and a great deal of energy and commitment from all involved.
?The initial response from professionals has been positive and people are excited to see what Azione is doing next.?
Azione, whose brand is encapsulated in the expression ?engineered beauty? - positioning both the North East engineering heritage and epitomising the Italian style of the brand, was established by cycling enthusiasts and business builders, Dave Anderson and Simon Johnson.
Dave said: ?We are thrilled to see the take up and positive feedback with our brand since its inception. This couldn’t have been done without Calm Digital.
?Our working relationship with the creative agency and customers has enabled us to gain momentum and push the brand forward.?
