Ratio Law LLP advises on Bury FC takeover
Manchester-based property and business law firm Ratio Law LLP (Ratio) has today revealed its role as legal adviser to Bury FC purchaser, and property entrepreneur, Stewart Day in the takeover deal finalised this week.
Ratio partner Gisella Alberici has also been named as a member of the new board of directors and will continue to provide strategic legal advice to the club.
On her role in the deal and appointment to the board, Gisella Alberici commented:
“As a football fan, my appointment to the board and instructions on this deal were a dream come true. I’m very much looking forward to continuing my work with Stewart and the rest of the team at Bury FC.”
Last month, the club announced they were looking to raise £1m in investment amid fears they could go out of business.
Stewart Day also commented:
“It has been my pleasure working with Gisella and the team at Ratio. I have no doubt that this deal marks the start of a new era for Bury FC and my co-directors and I are very pleased to have Gisella joining us on the board.
“Our efforts during the next season will be focussed very much upon performance, both on and off the field, and the sound financial management of the club. Our ultimate aim is to steady the Bury FC ship.”
