95% choose electronic document management for green agenda
95% of finance professionals are looking to electronic document management to support their green agenda
5 June 2013 – A survey carried out by document management software company, V1, has revealed that 95 per cent of finance professionals are interested in document management software due to its environmental benefits. V1 carried out the research with 120 senior finance professionals across a range of UK public and private sector organisations.
The survey indicates a strong interest in environmental awareness, revealing that 88 per cent of organisations are concerned about their impact on the environment. 89 per cent said that the business benefits of going green are still a key consideration, while almost 10 per cent revealed that it is more important than ever for their organisation to consider environmental benefits during the buying process.
Greg Ford, Managing Director, V1, says, “This research shows that despite the economic climate, organisations are still seeing the importance of a green agenda. Electronic document management makes smart business sense as it reduces paper consumption and CO2 emissions.
“By investing in V1’s automated document delivery, electronic document storage and automated authorisation solutions, organisations will eliminate paper-based processes and drive environmental benefits.”
Despite there being a strong leaning towards businesses wanting to be greener, 54 per cent admitted that ultimately, financial incentives are most likely to persuade them to reduce their negative impact on the environment. A financial director from the utilities industry said, “Our systems are strong and profits depend on them, which is our main concern.”
V1’s portfolio of document management and imaging solutions enable the electronic creation, storage, retrieval, management, delivery and authorisation of business documents. By implementing V1’s solutions, businesses significantly reduce their paper consumption, cutting costs and improving process efficiencies whilst supporting their environmental agendas.
