Over 900 Flock to London’s First OpenCo
OpenCo, the international festival which offers an up close and personal insight into the inner workings of some of the world’s most innovative companies, saw great success in it’s first London incarnation with over 900 attendees last week.
Over 55 firms, including Google Campus, Mind Candy, Spotify, Songkick, Absolute Radio, Mubaloo, RadiumOne, YouTube, Method, LivingSocial, The Bakery, WIRED, Love Home Swap, Erlang Solutions, Work Shop, Graffiti Life and Protein opened their doors, giving guests a chance to get behind the scenes and learn more about their roads to success.
OpenCo was founded by entrepreneur and co-founder of Wired Magazine John Battelle, with the aim of encouraging ‘open’ and innovative companies to share their wisdom with marketers, entrepreneurs and curious neighbours alike. It launched last year in San Francisco to tremendous success with a second event taking place last week in New York, which attracted 110 of the city’s most exciting technology companies and 2000 attendees. This year, additional events will take place in Detroit and San Francisco. Each of these cities are famed for their forward-thinking outlook and are home to some of the world’s most exciting companies.
