Yorkshire pump distributor gets new ecommerce website
UK pump suppliers and distributors Prestige Pumps has launched an e-commerce website to make it easier for both trade and b2c users to buy pumps, valves and consumables.
The new website represents the company’s first venture into e-commerce and encompasses features unique to the online pump marketplace.
Website project manager Andy Cook said: “What became clear in the planning stage was just how many different ways people navigated the old site to find products.”
“The challenge was to build a website that catered for the different types of users and the ways they navigate the site. They can now shop by brand or category and can filter pumps by their specifications.”
Mr Cook added: “Each product page is loaded with all the information the customer needs to make sure they’re buying the right pump, from product data to documentation and PDFs.”
Prestige Pumps Director Mark Walker said: “We’ve poured a lot of time into getting as much detail into the pump specifications as possible, including everything from the control voltage to the motor kW.”
“This will make it as easy as possible for engineers to find the pumping solution they need on the site.”
The website will now be supported with an on-going digital marketing campaign to ensure maximum online visibility.
