Northern housebuilder applaudes Help to Buy
York-based house builder, Persimmon Homes, says the Government’s ‘Help to Buy’ scheme has generated significant interest at one of its County Durham sites.
Six properties have been sold through the plan at The Grange where the firm say the initiative is generating “huge interest.”
Christine Cooper, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Teesside, said: “This development is really coming along now and is generating a lot of interest. More than 120 three and four bedroom homes will be built all offering great family accommodation. We are very excited about the development and looking forward to the showhome opening.”
Persimmon’s comments follow similar reports from rival Bovis Homes Group, who said improved access to finance for buyers had helped to drive sales.
