HECSU launches Employer Edition of Graduate Market Trends
The summer edition of Graduation Market Trends (GMT) provides advice and exclusive insight to some of the burning issues facing today’s employers.
The quarterly report from the Higher Education Careers Services Unit (HECSU) includes a look at how employers can support engineering graduates through the recruitment and selection process with a case study from the Head of Sky’s Software Engineering Academy.
There is also an article by Sagar Wright Search & Selection about graduate expectations and how employers can help align any mismatch with their organisation, and GMT goes behind the scenes at the Transport for London’s graduate scheme.
An interview with Dr David Docherty CEO introduces the National Centre for Universities and Business, which recently replaced the Council for Industry in Higher Education. GMT also looks at the Higher Education Achievement Report, which provides a richer record of graduate achievements to the benefit of both universities and employers.
GMT editor, Jennifer Redman says: “While academia winds down for the summer months the graduate labour market spurs into action, welcoming a new batch of job seekers. In GMT we’re focusing on those revving up to greet the graduates at their company’s front door – the employers. But this edition isn’t just for our employer readers; of course as with all editions of GMT there is something for everyone.”
