Skipton's JBA Bentley in Environment Agency appointment
JBA Bentley – a joint venture company between Skipton-based environmental engineering experts JBA Consulting and national construction and engineering firm JN Bentley, also headquartered in Skipton – has been appointed to the Environment Agency’s Water and Environmental Management (WEM) Framework.
The agreement will last for four years, with the potential for an extension for a further two years.
The framework covers a wide range of environmental and flood management services including environmental work, modelling, mapping, emergency planning, feasibility, detailed design and construction.
JBA Bentley’s place on WEM recognises its expertise in drainage, river and coastal flood protection and asset management throughout England and Wales and its work for a wide range of risk management authorities (Internal Drainage Boards, Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities).
JBA Bentley director Paul Bentley said: “We are delighted to gain a place on the Environment Agency’s WEM Framework. This is a very exciting period for us all, the next four years promise to be stimulating and rewarding for everyone involved in JBA Bentley.”
