Ventilation specialists scoop investment backing for expansion
Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF) has invested £150,000 to support the expansion of a manufacturing business based in St Helens on Merseyside.
LouvreSol Specialist Projects Limited, designs, manufactures and installs commercial aluminium ventilation systems which provide natural ventilation to help reduce carbon emissions.
Revised building regulations mean that all new commercial buildings and those involving major renovation or change of use must include provisions to reduce carbon outputs.
Managing director Eddie Dean said “One of the main areas where new buildings must satisfy planners is to address solar gain or interior heating caused by sunshine. As a result there has been an increased demand by architects for architectural louvres, Brise Soleil and natural ventilation systems, all of which we specialise in.
“We are the only UK-based supplier of architectural louvres that design, supply, manufacture and install our own products. Later this year we are moving to new premises in Knowsley which will enable us to increase our output to keep up with demand. MSIF have been superb. They were very positive from the outset and they have been extremely supportive.”
MSIF investment director Paul Humphray said: “Eddie is an astute businessman who knows his marketplace inside out. LouvreSol’s USP is the in-house design and manufacturing ability which enables them to supply at considerably cheaper rates than their competitors, ensures stringent quality control and accurately manage delivery dates.
“They have built up an impressive reputation and work with most of the UK’s leading construction companies. We’re pleased to be supporting the business.”
LouvreSol currently employs 16 staff and this is expected to rise to around 24 in the next three years. Turnover this year is estimated at £2.3m and is projected to increase to £3.2m during the next three years.
