Hull’s Kcom becomes BlackBerry Strategic Partner

Hull-based Kcom, part of the communications solutions specialist Kcom Group plc, has agreed terms to become one of BlackBerry’s official UK Strategic Partners.

Kcom has worked in collaboration with BlackBerry since 2005 to deliver a range of mobile solutions designed to help businesses find faster and smarter ways of working.

The Hull company has deployed BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (MVS) since 2011; a solution which unifies office phone functionality with mobile voice communications to provide customers with one business phone number, one caller ID and one voice mailbox through BlackBerry smartphones.

Sally Fuller, director of strategic propositions at Kcom, said: “We’re delighted that Kcom has become a Strategic Partner in the BlackBerry Partner Programme.

“We have a number of customers who are considering the best way to drive the BYOD agenda within their organisation and through the BlackBerry Partner Programme, we are able to showcase how the full breadth of BlackBerry’s enterprise mobility solutions can best address the needs of our customers’ business.”

“It’s well known that the enterprise world mimics the consumer world and that employee expectations of technology at work are continuing to grow.

“There are so many benefits of allowing employees to use their own devices; it creates a much more dynamic, mobile and collaborative workplace for them, as well as increases their productivity.

“We have a number of customers who are considering the best way to drive the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) agenda within their organisations, so we now have the opportunity to introduce what Blackberry can offer and work with them to find the perfect solution.”

As a Strategic Partner, Kcom will benefit from dedicated account management, a sales support desk, marketing funding, incentive plans and full access to the BlackBerry Seeding Programme.
