Energy show expands at the Ricoh Arena

An award-winning energy efficiency and renewables technology exhibition has changed its name and expanded its show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The Energy Efficiency Exhibition, formerly called Renewables Roadshow, has been revamped to encompass all energy saving systems in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Thursday, September 12.

Industry experts will give presentations in specially set-up theatres including seminars on the Green Deal, Commercial, Renewable Heat Incentive and Policy.

There will also be Energy Efficiency and Renewables Demo-Stations and a new inter-active visitor attraction called Hands-On Heat Pumps at the one-day show at the Ricoh Arena.

Nick Hewer from The Apprentice and Countdown will be the host of the Energy Efficiency and Renewables Awards which around 800 trade professionals are expected to attend in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall.

Event Director Dan Caesar said the purpose of the trade show at the Ricoh Arena was to make energy efficient technologies more accessible to those involved in the industry across the UK.

He said: “Over the next few years, our industry has a fantastic opportunity to offer customers significant financial savings thanks to energy efficient and renewable technologies.

“The exhibition is perfect for those who wish to get up to speed or keep their finger on the pulse of an industry which is rapidly evolving as well as businesses that are looking to advance their credentials in the energy efficiency and renewables sector.

“At this year’s exhibition we have invested in providing an educational programme, demonstrations and presentations after listening to delegates who attended last year.

“Whether visitors want more information on insulation or optimising the output of high efficiency heating systems then we will provide the answers.

“We will have 70 exhibitors from across the UK including the Renewable Energy Technical Alliance from Coventry and I’m sure the Jaguar Exhibition Hall will be buzzing.”

Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said this was the third successive year the organisers had brought the show to the venue.

He said: “Energy efficiency is a financial necessity whether you are heating or lighting your home or business and this exhibition showcases how trade professionals can help their customers to introduce certain technologies to reduce bills.

“There is plenty of advice on offer from a wide range of suppliers who are experts in their field which makes it a must-attend for visitors involved in the industry.

“We wish Dan and his team the best of luck in producing another exhibition which will be one of the highlights of the industry this year.”
