Premium cider order for Barnsley laser cutting firm
Cutting Technologies, based at Barugh Green, Barnsley has won a contract with Booth Dispensers to laser cut all the components and laser engrave the wooden facias of the draught pumps, known as fonts, for premium Swedish cider brand Rekorderlig.
The company had initially helped in a prototyping phase to develop designs generated by DC Brewin Ltd, and the two businesses are now working together to fulfil the contract.
The skilled team at Cutting Technologies laser cut the fonts’ stainless steel trims with ‘Beautifully Swedish’, Rekorderlig’s world famous sign off.
They also laser cut the internal structural components and engraved the company’s logo onto the wooden chassis.
The pumps, which feature brightly coloured LED’s, and colour stained tap handles, are colour matched to the flavour being dispensed, are currently being rolled out in bars across the UK and Australia as part of a major brand investment.
Cutting Technologies co-founder and business development director Jane Robinson said: “The Rekorderlig order was really exciting to work on and the innovative design by DC Brewin Ltd shows how striking engraved wood and laser cut brushed stainless can be when paired together.
“In the past year Rekorderlig has more than doubled in size and we’re delighted Cutting Technologies can play a part in the brand development of such big industry names.”
Gemma Copping, marketing director for Rekorderlig said: “The contemporary but elegant design reflects our Swedish heritage and Beautifully Swedish positioning and will maximise our brand presence in bar.”
“The fonts reflect our brand so it was essential that the quality of the workmanship fitted the premium nature of Rekorderlig. Cutting Technologies have done a first class job.”
