Cheshire content provider flying high with new deal

Cheshire-based in-flight entertainment provider IFE Services has secured a deal to supply content to Royal Brunei Airlines.

The firm will provide Hollywood movies and films from the Middle East and countries including France, Germany, Spain, Japan, India and China across the airline’s fleet of A319, A320, B777 and new B787 aircraft.

IFE, which has its headquarters in Knutsford, is also providing the airline with iPads, to be offered on a complimentary basis to passengers in business class on some flights and also used as back-up for embedded systems on some aircraft.

Andy McEwan, the firm’s chief executive, said: “It’s a great privilege to be chosen by Royal Brunei Airlines as their new IFE provider.

“We’re excited to be working closely with their team on a fresh and innovative new in-flight entertainment line-up which we’re sure will delight their passengers.”

Dermot Mannion, deputy chairman of Royal Brunei Airlines, said: “Royal Brunei Airlines is always looking at innovative ways to enhance our passenger experience and we are delighted to be working closely with IFE Services to achieve that objective.”
