Cheshire nursery group expands

Warrington-based nursery group Kids Planet has added two more nurseries to its portfolio, in a sale facilitated by specialist childcare broker Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

The nurseries, Jeffrey’s Corner, in Dukinfield, and Jeffrey’s Corner, in Springhead, Oldham, provide care for children aged from three months.

Both were established in 2004 and recently received Ofsted rating as ‘outstanding’.

The deal comes as part of the group’s on-going expansion.

Kids Planet CEO, Clare Roberts, said:

“We have our 10th setting due to open in October and three more nurseries due to open next year, which are a mixture of purpose built and conversions in the Greater Manchester area. We are always looking for acquisitions which would fit within our ethos.

“We plan to grow and develop the Jeffrey’s Corner nurseries further, building on the already high standards in terms of care and occupancy.

“We found Redwoods Dowling Kerr extremely professional at all times and they were always happy to do anything to ensure a smooth sale process. We will definitely use RDK in the future and are looking to grow and develop our nursery group with acquisitions and new nurseries over the coming years.”
