West Yorkshire IT specialist seals £150,000 Dunlop contract

Claritas Solutions, the Bramham-based IT systems specialist, has announced the signing of a £150,000 contract with Dunlop Oil & Marine Limited, a world leader in the manufacture and supply of hoses to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

The new business will see Claritas securely link the IT systems of Dunlop’s three sites at Grimsby, Ashington and Aberdeen.

Work is due to start in the next few weeks and will be completed by the end of the year. Claritas will be implementing a 100mb MPLS [Multiprotocol Label Switching] system which upgrades it from its current 2mb one.

This brings significant benefits to the Dunlop business, with the upgrade enabling a seamless collaboration between the disparate sites, maintaining current expenditure whilst benefiting from a workforce fully integrated into the system.

Julie Mitchell of Dunlop Oil & Marine Ltd said: “This is a big step forward for us in our continual drive for innovation for our extensive and unrivalled supply record at offshore installations throughout the world.

“The work Claritas has already executed in preparation is exceptional and we look forward to our continued partnership with them.”

Kevin Edwards, sales director, Claritas Group, added: “Winning this contract has given us a real buzz as we know we can be of real assistance to this ambitious company.”

Clartias has a client portfolio of over 250 organisations and representation throughout the UK, with 50 staff and a turnover approaching £6m.
