Lancashire sports firm scores with Ulster deal
Lancashire sportswear firm Kukri has announced a new five year deal with Ulster Rugby.
Kukri will be the official kit supplier and retailer for the Belfast club through to the 2018/19 season
Group managing director, Phil Morris, said: “This is great news for us and we are delighted to continue our successful partnership with Ulster.
“Ulster Rugby has continued to go from strength to strength and this deal underlines our commitment to the sport of rugby and the Province of Ulster. This is a true partnership on both sides and we look forward to a very bright future.”
Kukri Ireland’s director and general manager, Terry Jackson, said: “The partnership over the last six years has been very strong; with the redevelopment of Ravenhill and our investment in the new shop we believe the partnership will get stronger and stronger. SUFTUM.”
The company, based in Preston, has more than 200 staff with offices in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. It already supplies kit to Commonwealth Games England and Lancashire County Cricket Club.
This latest deal has been announced with nearly a full year to go on the existing contract, which the firm says underlines the strength of its partnership with Ulster Rugby.
